No serious injuries as articulated lorry crashes through school wall

Two people have been taken to hospital and a number of children escaped serious injury today when an articulated lorry crashed through a wall at a school in Galway.

Two people have been taken to hospital and a number of children escaped serious injury today when an articulated lorry crashed through a wall at a school in Galway.

The accident happened just as parents were arriving at Cregmore National School, a short distance from Galway Airport, to collect their children.

The force of the collision resulted in an 11-car pile-up.

The school principal Joe Kennelly, said that it was extremely lucky that nobody was injured. He said that parents and teachers pulled children out of the path of the oncoming truck.

Two people have been taken to hospital but their injuries arent thought to be serious.
