Unmarried and separated fathers call for equality legislation
The unmarried and separated fathers of Ireland are calling on the Government to pass legislation giving fathers legal rights of access to their children.
Under current law unmarried fathers do not have any automatic legal rights of custody to their children.
The call comes after a decision in the High Court today which ruled that a mother who took her children away to the UK, did not wrongfully remove them, nor is she wrongfully retaining them there.
