Two charged in connection with Chicago mugging

Chicago police have charged a man and a woman over a baseball bat attack which left a Co Armagh student critically injured.

Natasha McShane, 23, from Silverbridge is in a critical but stable condition after the attack in the early hours of last Friday.

Ms McShane and an American friend, Stacey Jurich, were violently assaulted as they made their way home from a night out in the US city.

A 30-year-old man and a woman, aged 25, were charged yesterday with aggravated battery and armed robbery.
