A man in his forties was killed in a crash in Co. Kilkenny yesterday - bringing to three the number of people who died on the roads over the weekend.

A man in his forties was killed in a crash in Co. Kilkenny yesterday - bringing to three the number of people who died on the roads over the weekend.

The motorcyclist died after his bike collided with a car on the Knocktopher Road at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday morning a 63-year-old man died in Co. Roscommon after being struck by a car at Elphin, while on Saturday night a 73-year-old woman died following a two-car collision at Rathgory in Ardee in Co. Louth.
