Gardaí probe Longford petrol bomb attack

Gardaí in Longford have launched an investigation following a suspected petrol bomb attack near Edgeworthstown.

Gardaí were called to Lisfarrell at around 9pm last night after reports of smoke coming from the house.

A suspicious device was also discovered but this was later declared an elaborate hoax by the Army bomb disposal unit.
