Small group protest 'mass deportations'

Around 50 people have gathered outside Leinster House in Dublin to protest what they say are mass deportations.

Around 50 people have gathered outside Leinster House in Dublin to protest what they say are mass deportations.

The claim the Government is separating young children from their parents.

The Resident Against Racism group says escalated deportation are tearing families apart.

The group say that up until this year there have been three mass deportations per year, but so far in 2010 there have been five.

They claim these deportation include parents and spouses of Irish citizens.

They are calling on the Minister for Justice to re-consider deportations and to allow "human rights reign".
