People applying for a new passport are being told to avoid the passport office and out-of-hours services unless they have to travel due to a family emergency.

People advised to seek passports by post

People applying for a new passport are being told to avoid the passport office and out-of-hours services unless they have to travel due to a family emergency.

New guidelines issued by the Department of Foriegn Affairs are advising all other travellers to use the Passport Express service through their local post office or Royal Mail NIPX and check for updates online at passport.ie.
