Man dies after being hit by car in Kerry

A man was killed early today after being hit by a car.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was hit by the car on Woodlawn Road, Killarney, Co Kerry, shortly after 4am.

Gardaí said two women in the car, who were also aged in their 20s, were taken by ambulance to Tralee Hospital with minor injuries.

“The scene is currently closed for technical examination and traffic diversions are in place,” he said.

“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact Killarney Garda Station.”
