The Department of Foreign Affairs is giving consular assistance to the family of a Monaghan teenager who drowned in Australia at the weekend.

Damien Crosby, 19, from Carrickmacross, had been swimming with his cousin in a reservoir in Queensland on Saturday when he got into difficulties and drowned.
