Abuse groups say Pope's letter falls far short
Abuse support group One in Four has said today's pastoal letter from the Pope falls far short of addressing the concerns of victims of clerical abuse.
The group said the Pope "has passed up a glorious opportunity" to address the deliberate cover-up that existed at the highest levels in the Catholic Church.
Meanwhile, abuse survivor Andrew Madden said the Pope should have acknowledged the cover-up of abuse by members of the Church and by the Vatican. He says the Church now has absolutely no credibility.
