Shannon Airport first to offer US immigration pre-clearance

Shannon Airport has achieved a first today as it is the only airport in Europe to offer US immigration pre-clearance for private aircraft.

Commercial airlines have been availing of the facility since last August.

Director of the airport Martin Moroney has said it should raise Shannon's profile.
