Toyota: No recall of Corolla in Ireland

Toyota Ireland has said there is no recall on its Corolla model here.

It says that comments made at a press conference earlier today were "misunderstood".

The embattled carmaker said, while it is aware of customer complaints from owners of Corolla models in the US, the same 2009/2010 model is not sold in Europe.

It said the version sold here is "different".
