Man killed in Kildare crash

One man has died and another is in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash in Co. Kildare.

The single-vehicle crash happened on the M9 motorway near Ballytore at a quarter to three this morning.

One of occupants of the car, a 22-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, understood to be aged 21, was rushed to Naas General Hospital where his condition is believed to be critical.

A woman was also injured in the crash. She is said to be in a serious condition in hospital this afternoon.
