Harney admits A and E delays 'unacceptable'

The Health Minister has admitted that it is not acceptable that almost half of patients on trollies in hospital Accident and Emergency units are not admitted within the target six hours.

It is four years since Mary Harney declared the number of people on trollies in hospitals a "national emergency".
