Kenny defends leadership at marathon party meeting

The Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has faced down critics in his parliamentary party who have expressed unhappiness with his handling of the George Lee affair.

A five-hour meeting of Fine Gael TDs and Senators last night heard a range of blunt criticisms of Mr Kenny, his front bench team, and party officials.
