A number of flights to the States out of Dublin Airport have been cancelled this morning because of heavy snow fall on the US east coast.

A number of flights to the States out of Dublin Airport have been cancelled this morning because of heavy snow fall on the US east coast.

Aer Lingus and Continental have cancelled some flights to New York and passengers are being advised to contact their airlines before travelling.

Over the weekend three feet of snow fell and another 12 inches is forecast for today.
