Hotel rape trial jury expected to begin deliberating tomorrow

A jury in the trial of a man accused of raping a woman as her boyfriend slept beside her in a Tipperary hotel room is expected to retire to consider their verdict tomorrow morning.

A jury in the trial of a man accused of raping a woman as her boyfriend slept beside her in a Tipperary hotel room is expected to retire to consider their verdict tomorrow morning.

The 27-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty to raping the woman at the Tipperary hotel on July 7, 2008.

The jurors will start deliberating when Mr Justice John Edwards completes his charge to them.

Today was day eight of the trial at the Central Criminal Court before a jury of seven men and five women.
