Jury hears Lillis evidence again
The jury in the murder trial of Eamon Lillis began hearing the television producer’s evidence for a second time today.
After deliberating for an hour and a half yesterday, the six men and six women asked to hear the 52-year-old’s account of what happened on the day his wife, Celine Cawley, died.
Later, they are expected to listen to a recording of a 999 call made by Lillis, reporting an incident at the family home in Howth, north Dublin.
Lillis, who worked in his wife’s successful media business, denies murdering Ms Cawley at the back of their home in December 2008.
The jurors have also asked to see a bag and its contents found in the attic of the couple’s home, as well as clothing found in an upstairs wardrobe.
