Economic forecast predicts return to growth this year

The economy will return to growth this year, according to the latest quarterly economic outlook from Bank of Ireland.

In one of the most optimistic forecasts since the recession began, the bank expects GDP to grow by one per cent in 2010.

The bank says that an upturn in the world economy will pull Ireland out of recession faster than expected.
