Gardaí investigate baby's death

Gardaí are investigating the cirumstances surrounding the death of a week-old baby boy in North County Dublin.

Officers were called in to investigate after the child was taken from its home in Lusk last night and later pronounced dead at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

The State Pathogists Office has been notified and a forensic examination of the house in Lusk is now underway.
