Firefighters control Laois blaze

Firefighters have managed to control a blaze at a pub in Mountmellick in Co Laois.

Four units of the fire brigade are still on standby at Horan's Bar on Patrick Street in the town.

No one was injured in the fire, which broke out shortly before 5.30am.

Meanwhile, a man is being treated for severe smoke inhalation after a housefire in Dublin this morning.

It is not known what caused the blaze at the house on Stanaway Road in Crumlin early this morning.
