Woman dies in Offaly car accident

A woman has died in a road accident in Co Offaly.

The 31-year-old was driving on the Tullamore to Kilbeggan road at 8.40am this morning, when the car she was driving collided with a tree.

No other people were involved in the accident and the road remains closed for a technical examination.
