Adams hands himself in
Liam Adams, the brother of Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams, has handed himself in to gardaí in Sligo.
He is accused of allegedly abusing his daughter in the late 1970s.
Aine Tyrell had alleged that Liam Adams abused her as a young child.
She made the allegation on a UTV documentary.
After the programme was aired, Gerry Adams appealed to his brother to give himself up for questioning.
Liam Adams, who is in his 50s, went to the gardaí in Sligo on Monday and informed them of his address, and said he was willing to the questioned.
The PSNI is now expected to seek a European arrest warrant which will allow them to take Mr Adams into custody for questioning.
