McAleese praises 'heroic' rescue efforts in recent floods

The President Mary McAleese has praised what she describes as the "heroic" efforts of those who came to the aid of victims of last month's floods.

Mrs McAleese is touring some of the worst affected areas, starting with Cork city centre.
