Gardaí 'arrest significant crime figure'

Two men - one of whom is believed to be a significant crime figure - have been arrested in Dublin as part of an investigation into organised crime.

A 26-year-old man and a teenager were detained near Mellows Road in Finglas this morning.

A firearm and a quantity of ammunition were seized during the operation.

They are being questioned at Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
