Rape trial collapses

The trial of a Dublin father of two accused of raping his friend's nine-year-old daughter today collapsed due to witness difficulties.

The 62-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied two counts of rape, one count of oral rape and one count of sexual assault on dates in 1993.
