Gardaí appeal for information on Navan stabbing

Gardaí investigating a serious stabbing incident in Navan are appealing to the public for information.

A 27-year-old Lithuanian man was seriously injured in the attack yesterday morning.

In particular, Gardaí want to trace the movements of a black car - similar to a Renault Megane - which was seen at Abbeylands Lane at around 9.45am.

There were a number of men in the car at the time and it had English number plates.

A Renault Megane car was subsequently found on fire at Cruicetown, about halfway between Navan and Slane on the N51.

Anyone who saw the the car or who may have given the passengers directions is asked to contact gardaí.
