The Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan has announced a carbon tax of €15 per tonne in his Budget speech.

The Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan has announced a carbon tax of €15 per tonne in his Budget speech.

The tax will apply to petrol and diesel from midnight tonight and to other fuels from next May.
