Finance Minister Brian Lenihan appeared with the Budget on the steps of Government Buildings this morning after the Cabinet met for the last time to discuss the package of financial reforms expected to be the most radical in living memory.

“I’ve made it clear, and the Government have made it clear, we have to secure €4bn in savings and we are going to do that,” Minister Lenihan said.
