Hunt for ATM raiders

Gardaí and the PSNI are hunting a gang of raiders who tried to steal an ATM from a bank in Keady, Co Armagh, along the border.

They rammed an excavator into the wall of the bank at around 3am this morning.

However, they did not manage to remove the machine and made their getaway in a car empty-handed.

The vehicle was found burnt out in Castleblaney in Co Monaghan a short time later.
