A survey has found that 40% of nine-year-old children in Ireland were the victims of bullying over the last year.

A survey has found that 40% of nine-year-old children in Ireland were the victims of bullying over the last year.

The finding is contained in a new study on Growing Up in Ireland which tracks the lives of 8,500 nine-year-olds.

The report also shows that over a quarter of the children surveyed are overweight or obese.
