'Walking time bomb' jailed for five years

A young man who broke into a Wicklow family home and attacked the 40-year-old mother with garden shears has been jailed for five years for aggravated burglary and robbery.

Judge Frank O’Donnell described Ciaran Moran (aged 23) as a “walking time bomb that explodes when drinking alcohol.”
