Man arrested in connection with Offaly drugs haul

A 56-year-old man has been arrested after the seizure of drugs worth around €900,000 in Co Offaly.

Up to 90 kilos of cannabis herb and resin were recovered at a house outside Clara this morning.

Officers from the Organised Crime Unit and National Drugs Unit were involved in the operation, which is part of an ongoing plan to target organised crime in the Leinster region.
