Athlone gardaí seize €1.4m worth of drugs

Gardaí have seized €1.4m worth of drugs in Athlone, County Westmeath.

Twenty kilogrammes of cocaine and five kilogrammes of cannabis resin were recovered in planned searches yesterday evening.

Two men aged 42 and 43 were arrested and are being held under drug trafficking legislation at Athlone garda station.
