The Minister for Social Affairs Mary Hanafin has said the Government will consider increasing the humanitarian fund for flood victims if needed, but insists there's no "bottomless pit".

The Minister for Social Affairs Mary Hanafin has said the Government will consider increasing the humanitarian fund for flood victims if needed, but insists there's no "bottomless pit".

Ms Hanafin - who's been touring some of the affected areas in County Tipperary - also warned insurers against using the fund to delay compensation to people whose homes were destroyed.
