Sixteen people are now being questioned by gardaí in connection with serious organised criminal activity in the south and east of the country.

Sixteen people are now being questioned by gardaí in connection with serious organised criminal activity in the south and east of the country.

Detectives from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Organised Crime Unit carried out 23 searches in Carlow, Wexford, Kilkenny, Dublin and Meath on Wednesday morning and arrested 13 people.
