Funerals Masses have been held for hree young women killed in an horrific car crash in Co Galway.

Funerals Masses have been held for three young women killed in an horrific car crash in Co Galway.

Nineteen-year-old Marie Ní Chongaile from Baile na hAbhann in Connemara, 20-year-old Sarah Byrne from Headford in Co Galway and Sorcha Rose McLoughlin from Wexford all died in the collision on Tuesday.

Marie Ní Chongaile and Sarah Byrne were buried today, while Sorcha Rose McLoughlin will be buried on Achill Island tomorrow.

Teresa Molloy from Connemara will also be laid to rest tomorrow.

A fifth woman, who survived the crash, is still being treated for her injuries in Beaumont Hospital.
