Gardaí seize €1.6m of drugs in Kildare

Gardaí have seized drugs worth around €1.6m in Co. Kildare.

Members of the garda national drugs unit and officers based in Naas stopped a car in the town at lunchtime today and found 122kgs of herbal cannabis and 2kgs of cocaine.

A 36-year-old man who was driving the car was arrested and is being held under drugs trafficking legislation at Naas garda station.
