Two questioned in connection with Wexford attack

Two men are being questioned by gardaí following an attack in Co. Wexford that has left a man fighting for life.

The victim was allegedly set apon after leaving a nightclub in Gorey with his friend in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He is being treated at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where his condition is being described as critical.

Four men were arrested following the attack. One has been charged, another has been released and two others remain in garda custody.
