Pensioner found dead in Galway 'suffered head injuries'

A pensioner found dead in a house suffered head injuries, a post mortem examination revealed tonight.

The body of the 77-year-old was discovered in Ballinduff, Ardrahan, Co Galway yesterday at 8am.

The property has been sealed off to allow garda crime scene investigators carry out an examination.

Officers are also carrying out house to house enquiries.
