Tralee gardaí investigate woman's death

Gardaí are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman in Tralee overnight.

The woman, who lived in the Tralee area, had been visiting an apartment in Castle Street in the town.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 1.45am this morning and tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men and a woman who were in the flat at the time are being interviewed in relation to the woman's death.

Gardaí are trying to establish whether she died as a result of an assault, or whether she sustained injuries in a fall or died from natural causes. A post mortem is to be carried out this evening.
