Drumm: The HSE is world-class
The head of the HSE says the agency is becoming world-class and he would not fear an independent review into its work.
Writing in today's Irish Times, Professor Brendan Drumm says in the last five years, key reforms mean the HSE has 1,000 fewer beds but is treating more patients and has saved hundreds of millions of euro for the tax payer in areas such as drug fees.
