Screening may be needed to combat chlamydia

The health authorities reportedly believe a screening programme for chlamydia may be needed following a major spread of the sexually transmitted infection in recent years.

Reports this morning say HSE figures show the number of reported chlamidya cases has increased from 245 in 1995 to 3,353 in 2007.
