Two youths held in connection with Thurles assault

Gardaí in Co Tipperary have arrested two youths in connection with a serious assault over the weekend which has left a 22-year-old man in a critical condition.

The victim was attacked outside a pub on Mitchel Street in Thurles in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He is still in a critical condition at South Tipperary General Hospital today.

The two youths arrested in connection with the assault were detained in the Thurles area this morning.
