Exporters seek 20% cut in gas and electricity prices

The Irish Exporters' Association is calling on the Government to cut gas and electricity prices by 20% in this December's budget.

The Irish Exporters' Association is calling on the Government to cut gas and electricity prices by 20% in this December's budget.

The association is also calling for no increases in income tax and no measures that would impinge on the exporting sector.

It says Ireland's economic recovery will be export-led and no action should be taken that would damage the sector.
