Man questioned following Co. Offaly death

Gardaí in Tullamore are to resume questioning a man arrested in connection with the death of a Brazilian woman in the town earlier this week.

33-year-old Joselita Silva was found dead at an apartment on Tara Street on Thursday evening.

A post mortem examination revealed that she'd died from internal trauma caused by multiple stab wounds.

A 30-year-old man was detained on Thursday night but was brought to the Midlands Regional Hospital for treatment.

He was released yesterday and was brought to Tullamore garda station for questioning.
