Pregnant women were today urged to protect themselves and their unborn child by getting vaccinated against swine flu.

Pregnant women were today urged to protect themselves and their unborn child by getting vaccinated against swine flu.

Senior medics moved to quell fears over the vaccination stating it would be more dangerous for expectant mothers to catch the deadly H1N1 virus than suffer any side affect.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
