A private nursing home in the Midlands was found to be in breach of the Health Act on a number of grounds when inspected by the Health Information and Quality Authority earlier this year.

The HIQA inspection at the Gallen Priory nursing home in Ferbane, Co Offaly, was made on foot of information about poor nutrition in the centre.
