Man arrested in connection with Roscommon explosive device find

Gardaí investigating the discovery of an explosive device in Roscommon have arrested a man in connection with the incident.

The device caused damage to a business premises after it was thrown through a window on Castle Street in the town on Sunday.

The man in his 30s was detained at around 6pm yesterday evening in the Kildare region.

He has been taken to Roscommon garda station for questioning under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
