Call for ID cards help combat welfare fraud

An Oireachtas committee is calling for the introduction of a national identity card as part of measures to combat social welfare fraud.

The Committee on Social and Family Affairs is publishing a report today recommending a number of measures to crackdown on fraudulent claims.
